Why, you might ask. Well, I like the double meanings that the words can take on. Huh, you now say. Well, I mean that while much of French has the same roots as English, and it has many cognates, the words do not necessarily mean the same thing. Take, for example, the word convier, which means to ask, suggest or make convenient, but it also means to suit someone. As an English speaker, the definition of convenient comes easily to me, but to merge it with to suit someone or something makes the word more multi-dimensional. It's sexxxxxxy.
